All my life I have had a very curious mind and have always loved learning. I still do. I graduated from John Marshall High School in San Antonio, Texas. My favorite memories from high school were participating in marching, concert and jazz bands. Upon graduating, I attended both University of Houston and University of Texas at San Antonio, where I received my BA in Political Science. After graduating, I married my husband of 43 years, Clark. We have 4 children, who I homeschooled for 14 years. After the kids were off to college or out on their own, I decided I still wanted to help make a difference in the lives of students. I went back to school at Texas A&M Commerce and got my teacher certification and finished my Masters of Education. I taught 18 years of band and music in public school. I retired from Chisum IDS in 2023 and am now in my 2nd year or teaching at Trinity Christian Academy. I am thankful that God brought me here during this time.
